Lighting Ceremony Celebrating Buddha%27s Birthday on 22nd April

The Lighting Ceremony celebrating Buddha%27s Birthday will be held at 7:00 pm on 22nd(Fri) April in front of Seoul with attendance of the most Ven. Bup Jang of president of Jogye order, Lee Myung Bak, mayor of Seoul city and 5,000 Seoul citizens and buddhist.


This year%27s Floating is named as %27Lantern of Joy and Sharing%27 which prays the auspicious joy and heart of sharing should be spread out all over the world.


The open concert follows after the Lighting Ceremony at the same place. Kim Duksu the master of Samulnori, Jang saik, Shin hyobeom, the famous pop singers


At the same time, the street lanterns of 30,000 will be lighten up downtown Seoul celebrating Lotus Lantern Festival of 8th May and Buddha%27s birthday of 15th May.
