About this Program
Korea’s National Intangible cultural Heritage and UNESCO Intangible cultural Heritage, Lotus Lantern Festival is one of the 3 biggest festivals in Korea.
We’re now recruiting Global Cultural Ambassadors (Supporters) for this International Festival celebrated by over 300 thousands people every year!

Application Period and Interview:
– Application Period: 2022 March 4th ~ 28 March,
** Registration can be closed early in case of arrival of overwhelming numbers of candidates.

Interview: March 30(Wed) 5pm ~7pm online
The selection result will be announced on the next day.

– April 5(Tuesday) 6pm~8pm: Launching ceremony [In-Person]
– April 16, 1pm~8pm, Templestay 1 day JoGyeSa temple. Making Lotus Lantern [In-Person]
– April 20 (Wed), 6pm~8pm : Meaning of Lotus festival, Performance practice. [On-line]
– April 27 (Wed) 6pm~8pm:  Role assignment on festival day, Performance practice. [In-Person]
– April 30 (Sat)~May 1(Sun): Lotus Lantern Festival : Parade leading, Performance, Help international participants etc. [In-Person]
– May 8 (Sun) 9am ~12pm : Buddha’s birthday ceremony, Final Workshop. [In-Person]

※ All programs are conducted in both Korean and English.
※ All free of charge, Vegan meal option available.
※ If you have higher attendance rate, you will have better chance to be selected.
※ Meeting venue will be nearby Insadong, Jongro.

Qualification:
– Citizens of the world who wish to enjoy the Lotus Lantern Festival and participate in volunteer work during the event
– Members needed: 30 ( 20 Global Expats, 10 Koreans)
※ Volunteers will be selected after an interview in English or Korean
※ All programs are in English or Korean
