The lantern symbolizes the brightening of our mind and the Lotus Lantern Making itself is a praying for our own happiness as well as the happiness for others.
The experience of Lotus Lantern Making is a amazing moment to reflect on your own sincere wishes and also an opportunity to carry around your own lantern in the mini parade around Insa-dong area.
The International Dharma Instructors Association(IDIA) invites you to the “Lotus Lantern Making Event for Foreigners”, as a part of the “Yeondeunghoe(Lotus Lantern Festival)” which is one of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and Korea's National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Also, the event provides the great opportunity to experience a long lasting tradition of Korea cultures.

Lantern Making: Part 1: 11am~1:30pm/ Part 2: 2:30~5:00pm
Award Ceremony: Part 1: 1:30~2:30pm, Part 2: 5:00~6:00pm
Place: In front of Ujeongchongguk next to Jogye-sa temple
Mini Parade : 7:00~9:00pm (Volunteers only) at Insa-dong area
