“Feel and experience a 1,200 year old tradition from Korea’s culture”
“Understand your true nature and your Buddhahood by lighting a ‘Lotus Lantern’ in your mind”
The lantern symbolizes the enlightenment of our mind and the act of making a Lotus Lantern is a prayer for our own happiness as well as the happiness of others.
“Lotus Lantern Making” is a wonderful experience- a moment to reflect about your own sincere wishes and also a chance to carry your own lantern in a mini parade around Insa-Dong.
As a part of the “Lotus Lantern Festival” that provides the opportunity to experience a wide variety of Korean cultural traditions, the International Dharma Instructors Association invites you to the “Lotus Lantern Making Event for International Guests”.
