(Lotus Lantern Festival Friends) Recruitment Announcement
We are recruiting 2026 LLF Friends (Lotus Lantern Festival Friends) to help promote the Lotus Lantern Festival, which is inscribed on
UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and designated as a National Intangible Heritage of Korea.
We are looking for global supporters who are eager to learn, experience, and promote traditional culture beyond nationality and religion.
Number of Participants:
Total of 50 participants (Korean nationals and foreign residents in Korea)
Eligibility
· Foreign residents in Korea and Korean nationals
· Individuals interested in K-traditional culture and international cultural exchange
· Those who operate a public SNS account and can upload promotional content at least once a week during the activity period
· Those who can participate in major programs (Opening Ceremony, Temple Stay, Lotus Lantern Festival main event days, and Buddha's Birthday & Closing Ceremony)
※ The four programs above are mandatory.
· Those who can participate in at least 80% of the overall schedule

Preferred Qualifications
· Individuals with strong Korean communication skills
· Experience in creating SNS (Instagram, YouTube) content such as card news, reels, or videos

· Korean Buddhist History and Culture Memorial Hall (In Jogyesa)
· Jongno area
· Areas near Jogyesa Temple
· Education on the meaning and history of the Lotus Lantern Festival
· Traditional performance dance (Yeonhui Yuldong) and cultural experience programs
· Participation in the Lotus Lantern Parade and major festival events
· Support for traditional culture experience zones and booths
· Assistance and interpretation support for international visitors
· Creation and upload of SNS promotional content
· Volunteer hours certification through the 1365 Volunteer Portal
· Official Certificate of Completion for the UNESCO-recognized Lotus Lantern Festival (issued upon meeting attendance requirements)
· Official uniform and meals provided during activities
· Opportunity to participate in the Temple Stay program
· Priority invitation to follow-up programs related to the Lotus Lantern Festival
· Global networking opportunities with domestic and international participants
· Attendance of at least 80% of the total schedule (Mandatory participation: Orientation Ceremony / Temple Stay / Festival DAY 1 & DAY 2 / Closing Ceremony)
· Fulfillment of SNS promotion requirements (at least one upload per week)
· Participation in the Lotus Lantern Parade and Buddha's Birthday main events
